Much is happening in the world of “Night Views” Radio. Due to show meetings and other obligations, the show will not broadcast this week. Instead, the guys at “Night Views” will be returning on Thursday, July 29th at it’s new time of 10pm Eastern time, 7pm Pacific time. “Night Views” producer and co-host Rob Saul says the time was changed to make it more convenient for live listeners to tune in.
The show is returning with singer, song-writer and recording artist Tamara Champlin. Tamara is the wife of legendary artist Bill Champlin (formerly of Rock Group Chicago). Her son, Will Champlin is also a successful artist and song-writer, his song “Ordinary Me” was on Heather Headley’s Grammy Award Winning album “Audience of One”. You can hear Will on “Night Views” by clicking here.
Tamara started out her career in Houston, TX before she evolved into a session musician. She has recorded background vocals for many popular recording artists including Richard Marx and Mister Mister. Her song-writing career has been very successful. Her recent success co-writing Bekka Bramlett’s Top 40 Country hit “What’s On My Mind” (along with her long-time writing partner Michael Caruso and Dennis Matkosky) brought Tamara’s work into the light once again. Tamara has written with and for such artists as Elton John, Andreas Carlson, Douglas Carr and many others. In 1995, Tamara released her studio album “You Won’t Get to Heaven Alive”, the title track reached the Top 20 charts in Spain and the track “Tragic Black” hit #1 in Germany.
Recently, Tamara has been traveling on tour with her husband Bill. They recently did shows in Norway and Sweden. Currently, Tamara is touring as a permanent band member in the legendary group formed by her husband in the sixties, Sons of Champlin. You can listen to Tamara Champlin’s music on her MySpace page or her ReverbNation page.
